What a great day!
- Justin was amazing today. We had a wonderful morning together at home, tidied and made bread together, and I almost finished both of their costumes.
- Not so wonderful: after spending an hour tidying and sweeping downstairs, I went upstairs to the washroom, and came back to find that he'd discovered some styrofoam and spread bits of it aaaall over the downstairs floor.
"!!!!!" I said.
"But Froggy wanted me to," he replied (his little purple frog doll).
"Well then next time Froggy wants you to make a mess, you tell him NO WAY!!"
"Froggy, that was BAD!" he tells Froggy. Gives him hell for a couple of minutes. Then sternly puts him on the bottom step and tells him, "Time OUT, Froggy! DON'T do that again!!" - Daniel did not have a good day, and we're going to have to talk about the whole homeschooling thing.
- Just came back from choir. Choir! I'm back in choir! Laaa!
Homeschooling
Date: 2003-10-23 07:59 am (UTC)It's amazing how quickly parenting bliss can turn into parenting freak out. Yesterday we walked Rainer to work. Good. Fall air, exercise, did our hsing on a bench. Parenting bliss. Walked home. "I don't want to ride my scooter. You carry it, Mama." "I'm hungry. I want food now." "I'm going to climb this tree." Agony. 8 blocks of foreverness.

PS, phone me about hsing if you need to. Even if it's to rule it out as an option. My LLL training spills over and I'm good at offering information rather than advice.
