Dinnertime

Tonight's dinner conversation somehow went from a hair in the food to Anita Hill to Clarence Thomas to the US Supreme Court to sexual harrassment to Don't Ask, Don't Tell to the study that showed that the armed forces discharges proportionally far more women than men under the policy.
...and since I left they've somehow ended up discussing Scientology.

I love having curious kids. Chris referred to Justin's "popcorn-eating face" the other day, and by god he's right: when Justin's really into a subject, he'll ask question after question and listen in rapt attention as each question in answered, and if he had a box of popcorn, he'd be absently munching on it in fascination. And Daniel is just a sponge; he may not look as attentive, but random stuff you say will be repeated verbatim months later in a rather eerie "Wth, kid, do you carry a recorder on your person?" kind of way ;)
ETA: Also, today we ate like Vikings: Norwegian meatballs (no, I don't know how they're different from the Swedish kind) and Viking Root Vegetables. Thanks, Story of the World Volume II!
