I love my boys very much...

...but days like today I wonder how we made it through their early years without going insane. I don't know what they were playing upstairs, but they sounded like a herd of elephants, and when they roared downstairs they nearly shattered the windows.

They're twelve and nine now. This doesn't happen any more, unless they've got friends over. How on earth did we survive the endless years when this was the status quo?!

This is why smart people either have kids when they're young or not at all. In all likelihood YOU had more stamina a decade ago.
