...where the good Lord split ya, Easter 2010. Possibly the worst Easter I can remember.

  • It did end on a bunch of high notes, though, the best of which was that we went to see How To Train Your Dragon and it was incredibly cute. Lots of LOL moments, and a Daniel onscreen (Viking kid who has memorized all the different dragon types, their attacks, weaknesses, defenses against them, a la Dungeons & Dragons). Also a breast-hat. Thumbs up!

  • Not getting rid of all my stuff after all, though still culling. I had been on track to finishing culling the first floor by the end of the weekend; yeah, never mind that.

  • Edited my very first Wikipedia entry! It could've been something political; it could've been history-related; it could've been about environmentalism; it was about Star Trek. Although I'm going to call it history-related because it was an addition to the article on the Maquis after the Spanish Civil War; I added a link under "Popular Culture" that points out that the group called the Maquis in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and Voyager took their name from the Earth group. Insert extreme geek-snort here.

  • Had some fanfic to write and some fanart to draw. Finished both.

  • Finally heard back from the person at the Law Society of Upper Canada (affectionately referred to as L-SUCK) who helps folks find articling positions. She advised me to try "non-traditional" ways of finding articling positions, such as delivering resumes in person, networking, and looking on sites other than the LSUC job site.

...I'll be sure to get right on that. ::sigh::

Seriously, do people need to be told this? Chris likened it to calling tech support and being asked, "Is your computer plugged in?"

  • The first gay military wedding was performed in England fairly recently. Made me wonder whether there had ever been one in Canada. Turns out the first one took place in 2005. I hadn't heard of it, though I had heard of the first gay RCMP wedding, in 2006, which was tough to miss since every. single. newspaper. in the entire country (and a few in the US) had to run the headline "The Mounties Always Get Their Man" ahahahahahahaha ::facepalm::

  • Our community garage sale is not going forward this year because nobody has offered to organize it.

I don't need to organize it. So why am I asking what's involved in doing so?

Sounds like a bittersweet time. I'm glad about the "stuff' issue though.
