Toronto whirlwind
Apr. 24th, 2010 05:56 pm- In Toronto so Chris can go to a conference and get the car serviced. And so we can meet Chris' little sister's fiance before their wedding. And see our friends Todd & Susan. And take in a bit of Toronto!
- At Ontario Science Centre from before opening to 6PM last night. Geekgasm like whoa. Also, as we were driving up, the kids said, "Harry Potter Exhibition?! Can we see that?!"
"It's pretty expensive, and you have to book tickets in advance," said I. They were downcast but still pretty upbeat - 'cause, you know, Science Museum - until we went in and I handed my printed out tickets to the guy at the booth. "I said you had to book tickets in advance," I reminded the kids. "I didn't say I hadn't done it."
Wicked exhibit, btw. Highly recommend it to any diehard fan. Not sure it's worth the $$ to non-fans. - Car feeling better now. However, slagging a client in front of another client? Yeah, not professional behaviour, guys. ::eye roll::
- St. Lawrence Market. Wow. Yummy.
- Off to the Art Gallery!

"Which House, at Hogwarts?"
"Oh... um... whatever house the guy - Harry Potter? Whichever house he was in. Was he in a House?"
The cool thing about it were all of the bits and pieces that you read about in the books, but didn't see in detail the movies - like the parchment where all the members of Dumbledore's Army signed their names, or Slughorn's Potions ingredients shelf, or the Marauders' Map - but someone who hasn't read any of it really wouldn't get much out of it. IMHO.
