Anyone recognize either of these middle-aged gentlemen?

If you've been reading this blog for a while, you should :)

In their defense, they were not allowed to smile, hence the rather glum expressions. And the software at the Ontario Science Centre seems to have used mostly blurring to do their computer-generated aging, so the last photos looking kinda... shabby and dissolute, is not their fault.

Still kinda cool to see. I'm keeping a record of this. See if they end up looking anything like what the computer said they would.

I'm betting you anything that they won't.

Yeah, we're also hoping they don't ;)

Good lord. Those have to be the most unflattering renditions of D. & J. -- EVER. I must say I don't think much of the software.

That first Progression on D. is quite striking, though.

Yeah, no kidding! And this is after I edited them. Part of the problem is that the software aged their features, but didn't quite blur out the original features. So they had four nostrils. They also didn't broaden the shoulders, making them both look like four-nostrilled, blur-jawed, melon-heads. I tried to fix it, but wasn't able to do much.

The first projection for them both is actually pretty realistic, I think. Other than the upper head was kept too small, IMHO. I know adolescent male jaws get disproportionally big, but I'm hoping they don't look quite so lopsided.

Interesting visual experiment, anyway :)

It's really kind of weird to see middle aged heads on teen aged shoulders. I have to say, it's kind of creeping me out. LOL.

Me too - and actually, I broadened the shoulders. The original output had left them totally alone, so they looked like incredible melon-heads. !!

But it doesn't look like you'll have to break the budget on new clothes for them!

LOL!!

No, but I may have to cut & paste a bit around the shoulders - much easier done in Microsoft Paint than on a sewing machine ;)

Daniel looks more and more like a boy. I can't believe how grown up he is!
