This'n'that

- Saw a guy biking down my street with a parrot on his shoulder.
- Daniel did better than beat up a bully at school: he stood up to him and got the other kids to tell the bully that if he didn't stop bullying, they weren't going to play with him. Said bully apologized to Daniel and all seems well for now. School is a pretty neat place.
- Daniel also forgot his French homework at school. It was due today. He has too much homework. Nobody can help him with it, as we are both working and bring home work at night. We've also said he needs to do more housework and make his own lunches. He never has time to do anything. And this is his life from now on. School is the worst thing that's ever happened to him.
- Teenagers: We Know Drama.
- Not having homework done once won't make him fail at life. I'd be happy to help him, as I don't bring work home; he just has to ask. He needs to unload the dishwasher every day and make his lunch once or twice a week. Chill, dude.
- "Oh," says Daniel.
- Though to be honest Daniel's been like this all his life, so we can't really blame this on teenagitis.
- Justin's doing fine.
- Would cheerfully kill for a blue suit jacket right now.
- Mascara makes you look like a raccoon if you rub your eyes.
- Wrestling a 68-document medical evidence file to the ground and getting it coherent enough to send as disclosure has its own administrivial charm.
- E-life has taken a beating from double-working parents and loss of the good computer. E-mail reply list is about fifty items long :(

And it's funny but I've done that with Daniel while home schooling, but for regular school he seems a lot more motivated to Get It All Done. Which is funny because one of the reasons we started home schooling him was that he would behave pretty well for us, but seemed incapable of controlling himself for other authority figures.
And way to go with the bullying.
:) :) :)

May I recommend a smudge-proof mascara? I like Max Factor. They make a smudge-proof kind that isn't waterproof (I hate waterproof mascaras, as I get my makeup off w/ soap & water) that seriously is smudge-proof. I rub my eyes, too, so this is an issue for me.

Yay - a tip from an actual girl! I don't know from mascara, and the makeup ladies at Shopper's intimidate me. I'll go check it out.
