GOP Lawmaker Mike Beard Claims God Will Provide Unlimited Natural Resources. Please tell me this is a joke.

I'm not Christian, but I was under the impression that God expected his children to look after themselves, not hang on to eternal "gimme gimme gimme" adolescence toddlerhood in the firm belief that Mom & Dad will clean up whatever messes they make. At least, that's what Charles (Pa) Ingalls, a good Christian, taught his daughters. Was he out to lunch?

Not in the opinion of this Christian. To me, we honor God by honoring his/her creation and not wreaking havoc on it in the name of greed.

But may be I'm out to lunch. If so, I think I'll stay there, I don't like my lunch mates all that much.

Yeah, no kidding. It's like trashing a gift and expecting the gift giver to give you another one.

You're right, he's wrong. Being good stewards means not being wasteful, and taking care of what you have been given, not wasting it in hopes of more.

Yeah, exactly. It shows disrespect for what you have been given, and for the one who gave it to you. IMHO.
