OK, now I'm starting to need those Don't Panic glasses from HHGTTG.

I've never had such a huge writer's block wrt an assignment. I literally cannot make myself write this damn thing. I have "this is where I will talk about the purpose of sentencing in R. v. Travers"... but when I start to try to do it, I hit an absolute brick wall.

Hm. Why do I have no difficulty whatsoever writing fic and lj and e-mails, but can't write this thing to save my life? Or the last 25% of my mark?

I know this is going to sound really, really lame, but I find that when I'm in that situation, if I pretend I'm Scully, or Claire, or some random Starfleet engineer, and I need to work on this to forestall alien invasion, or get it to a judge right away, or prevent the warp core from breaching (depending on the fictional scenario into which I place myself), it becomes much easier to do.

Aaaaand, as I just saw a HUGE bolt of lightning outside the window, I will be getting offline now.

That's SUCH a good idea. I so totally need to do that.

I used to do that when I was taking Physics for Stupid People. I'd pretend I was at Starfleet Academy or the Jedi Academy, since my professor looked like the offspring of Luke Skywalker and Stephen King.
