• It's been a highly productive weekend so far. Got a kitten, took my bike in for maintenance, got my hair (badly) cut, did massive laundry, contacted Apple support, and worked on my resume. I'd like to go back to work, now, so I can relax.

• Jehovah met Apollo. Two things: (1) I'd never heard a cat snort before and (2) "I am an angry, jealous God" comes to mind.
  
  Meh. She'll get used to him. Happily, she's mostly an outdoor cat in the summer, and he's too little to be allowed out. By the time she's back inside, he'll be full-grown and hopefully capable of holding his own against her. In the meantime, we're keeping treats on our person and staying close to him when she's indoors, so that hopefully she'll associate him with pleasant stuff.

• 6 movies that could have solved in minutes. ::snort-laugh:: Some of my favourite movies in the world are in there, but I gotta say yeah, no kidding, five minutes or less ;)
  
  
• Kittens are the most ridiculous, adorable creatures on earth. A few minutes ago Apollo took a huge running leap and launched himself at our bookshelf, got front paws on the third shelf and hit the rest of his body against the plastic cover we keep on the bottom shelves to protect the books from Jehovah's spraying. Slid down to the floor with a thump, staggered off, and lay down a few steps away, apparently needing to regroup after his epic fail. Not sure what he thought of me and Justin laughing at with near him. We tried to stifle ourselves, to no avail.
  
  
• It is currently 30C (86F), 35C (95F) with humidity. Ugh. Looking forward to being at the movie theatre.

In all fairness, it probably wouldn't be that difficult to find a mouse with a brain functioning at the level of Christine O'Donnell - no cross breeding required.
