Anteaters Anonymous
Mar. 11th, 2004 08:31 pmI am part of a family of anteaters. Literally. Chris went to Sugar Mountain today and, as promised, found Justin some candied bugs. He got one box with four disks of chocolate covered ants, and one box with a chocolate covered grubs and crickets. I ate the ants, couldn't make myself eat the grubs and crickets. I've eaten sheep brains, chicken feet, cow's tongue, prairie oysters, sheepguts, and various bits of goats, sharks, and some reptile whose name I don't remember. But I inexplicably couldn't quite stomach eating a cricket. I think I needed some monetary incentive. $3 would've done it.

I'm actually entirely caught up in my readings. That doesn't seem right, somehow.

Visited with Karen for a while. I don't spend enough time with other non-law school related-grownups, and I really think I should. They're fun :)
Ooh, and I got the third and fourth Outlander books from Karen! Cool! Oil thigh and cha gheill and all that.*

Happy Birthday

Get three or more Queen's students together and eventually they will sing the following song, while doing the Can-Can, to the tune of The Battle Hymn of the Republic:
Oil thigh na Banrighinn a'Banrighinn gu brath!
Oil thigh na Banrighinn a'Banrighinn gu brath!
Oil thigh na Banrighinn a'Banrighinn gu brath!
Cha-Gheill! Cha-Gheill! Cha-Gheill!
(pronounced Kay-Ya, Kay-Ya, Kay-ya)
This is Gaelic for "The College of the Queen forever!" (x3) and "No surrender!" (x3)
This is best sung while drunk, wearing a kilt, and dyed deep purple with Gentian Violet. Really. Here's a random pic of a student before and after Queen's Frosh Week.

Date: 2004-03-11 08:47 pm (UTC)When I was in Idaho I picked up a small bar of hard toffee in which is suspended...an equally small scorpion. It's supposed to be a crunchy snack. I didn't buy it to eat it - just thought it looked cool. :)
Yes, there is a reason I'm posting this here... :)
Date: 2004-03-11 08:48 pm (UTC)You keep doing this. And I, lemming-like, keep following your dancing links. Why, I wonder. Oh, for the love of heaven, WHY?
My answer:
Because I'm just too damn persuasive?
Yes, I do keep doing that, don't I? I'm sorry. *grin* No, really I am. To make up for it...
Follow the link.
