File this under "not worth the bother"
Mar. 21st, 2004 09:04 pm::sigh:: There are days when I really wonder what's up with people. Apparently somebody who was lurking on
thursday100plus in the last couple of weeks told a member (who then told me) that she decided not to join because "the moderator doesn't seem to give a sh*t about the entries - no feedback, no nothing!"
Sorry, I haven't publicized my personal problems on t100+ because it's not the forum for my life - that's what this lj is for - but it might have been nice if she'd given me the benefit of the doubt and looked back over the last few months on t100+. I was giving people lots of feedback - I tried to find at least one positive thing to say about almost every entry, especially those that didn't get much fb from other readers. It's just that what with the hysterectomy and my mom's hospitalization from cancer and law school and the kids and life in general, no, I haven't been the ideal moderator lately.
I briefly pondered posting a little explanation/apology on t100+, but then decided it's just not worth it. Some people will simply believe the worst no matter what you do. Besides, this chick was apparently not going to hang out at my lousy feedback-less site anyway, so she probably wouldn't read it.
On that cheery note, I'm off to re-type my ****ing Property notes. And I'll try to keep in mind all the expressions of support and hugs from all of you to counterbalance the ickyness one chickie-poo who I don't even know anyway.

You have absolutely nothing to apologize for. You are one of the most generous people I know.
Yeah, what they said. Exponentially.
Man. Some. People. Need. To. Get. A. Life. It's not like this is some kind of contest!?! This is a fun little hobby. It's not our careers, it's not our love lives, it's not our education. It's not even something some of us can *explain* to some of our other friends. What the Royal Canadian Mounted fuck are they thinking?
Anyhow. If you weren't on the other end of the continent, I would *so* be there with cookies... and a bottle of Merlot. Oh, yeah, and a certified nanny who'd take the kids for the rest of the week so you and I could (a) party and (b) you could finish your homework and generally take care of business. ::sigh::
Well, you know, they say that visualization is a powerful tool...

Oh, I'll have to use that expression some day :D :D :D Royal Canadian Mounted fuck. It rolls off the tongue quite trippingly.

Yeah, I visualized this. And it helped quite nicely - got myself tipsy, even. And since I'm invariably a cheerful drunk, that was a Good Thing ;)
