Christmas Eve is not always all it's cracked up to be.

I shouldn't complain, because my own particular troubles today are rather minor in the grand scheme of things. I'm not ill; I'm not away from my loved ones; I'm not stuck in a war-torn land where bombs go off at random.

However, I do have a hell of a headache and a toothache that won't go away, and Chris is on call.

I've been getting headaches quite frequently since I started the Megace, and my family doc gave me a prescription for Tylenol 2s. I also got a swollen gum that kept me up all night because every time I swallowed I felt sharp stabbing pains in my jaw. So yesterday my dentist took a look, said I've got to get my wisdom teeth out, and prescribed antibiotics for the infection I've got in my gums.

Filled both scrips today while grocery shopping, and promptly lost them. So now I'll have to go back as soon as Justin wakes up from his nap, and get them re-filled. ::grumble::

And, of course, Chris is on call, as he is almost every holiday.

The good thing is, Justin is much more manageable today than he was yesterday, and Daniel is his usual sweet self. And we made chocolate-caramel chip cookies for Santa, so even though they cause me a hellacious pain when I chew them, I've got food comfort at least :)

Sotired.

Boys gave each other presents (Christmas tradition from Chris' family: the kids give each other presents on Christmas Eve) and it was a big success. We got Daniel Yu-Gi-Oh cards from Justin and didn't even tell Justin what 'he' got, because Justin cannot keep a secret. He did decorate the wrapping paper though, and wrote a D for Daniel and J for Justin. And Daniel was thrilled.

Daniel, being a bit older, was able to buy his brother's present himself. He got Justin a Dora the Explorer book, which thrilled Justin to little bits. Hope the pictures turn out.

Got my scrips, took my antibiotics, taking my pain relief stuff, finished wrapping and labelling and being Santa. Sotired, going to sleep now.

Merry Christmas to all who celebrate it, and good wishes to all who don't, or who celebrate other traditions.
