Daniel and Justin are shrieking and running around, simulating some battle. My attention is suddenly caught by the fact that they're both screaming, "Unleash the GIANT FLAMING BALLS OF TWINE!!!"

... that's Gratuitous Bookmark Post. Ha ha. I kill me sometimes.

Shopping at Loblaws the other day, some poor employee was doing demos of Kodak's nifty digital do-it-yourself printing service. Or rather, she was supposed to be doing demos, but nobody stopped long enough to do more than grunt a negative answer to her hopeful, "Would you like a free print with a demo of Kodak's... Sir, would you like a free print with... Ma'am, would you like a free print..."

So what the heck. We weren't in any hurry. We stopped. Got a demo and scored a free print, which I promptly turned into a bookmark:

In other news, I cleaned like a madwoman today. I used to have this recurring dream where I discovered secret rooms wherever I happened to live - you know, go put away the aspirin, notice an odd breeze from the wall behind the medicine cabinet, take a look and - whoa! How come I never noticed that huge unused room behind the washroom before?!

I don't get that recurring dream any more. I think it's because now I get the same effect whenever I tidy. Like all of a sudden, I live in much, much bigger house.

Played D&D again today, with some success, although poor Justin's still having a hell of a lot of trouble not freaking out over every little thing. At least calming exercices seem to help. Some.

In e-life, I've been working on actually getting our family homepage done some day this decade. Photobucket has helped immensely. YAY free picture space!!

And I still owe four Drabbles On Demand and an interview. I will get them done. Defeat is just not an option.

Can't believe tomorrow is the last day of summer vacation. On the one hand, I wish the summer would last forever. More visits with friends, more camping, more time with the boys. OTOH, this summer will definitely go down in my books as being one of the crappiest ever, so a big part of me is breathing a huge sigh of relief. Don't let the door hit your butt on the way out, Summer 2004!
