Semi-homeschooling Thursday
Mar. 3rd, 2005 08:21 pmThis week hs is taking place Thursday and Friday afternoon with Daniel. Justin asked if he could come along too today, and we all went down to the Children's Museum. Had a great time, as per usual, although every time I go I get annoyed at how impossible it is to find anybody once they've disappeared into the exhibits. And the fact that there were millions of small people milling about did not help. Weird, on a Thursday afternoon. I don't think March Break has started for anybody; I know the regular public school system isn't off this week. Maybe it's the French or Catholic boards.
So, the kids messed around with all the toys, dressed up, Justin cooked as per usual, they figured out how to spell their names in heiroglyphics, Daniel built the Two Towers at the architectures of the world exhibit, and then we took Barney the Beaver to all five continents.* The Beavers each get to take Barney home for one week of the year, and this was Daniel's turn.
Wanna see? It's folder "Winter 2005", password "vacation".
Oh - BTW, Justin got tired of tangles, and asked us to cut his hair. Hence the hairpix at the beginning of the album.
* - No Australia. Apparently it doesn't rate an exhibit at the Children's Museum. ?!! The closest we could get was the underwater exhibit, which we called Oceania.
