And just the other day I was wondering at the distinct lack of fluffy memes on my flist. This one is gacked from [livejournal.com profile] mynuet:

I want everyone who reads this to ask me 4 questions. Any 4, no matter how dirty or random. I have to answer them honestly. In turn, you have to post this message in your own journal, and you have to answer the questions that are asked of you.

1. Hm... I think Mother Teresa.
2. Because she dedicated her life to doing something difficult and rather thankless, and she inspired thousands of others to do the same. And because what she looked for in a novice sounded neat, to me. It was something like, "She must love to sleep, because sound sleep shows a peaceful mind; she must love to eat, because that shows that she takes joy in life; and she must love to laugh, to share that joy with others."
She also said, "I see God in every human being. When I wash the leper's wounds, I feel I am nursing the Lord himself. Is it not a beautiful experience?"
3. LOL! 38C :)
4. Oh yeah, for about a month. Unfortunately, I was going out with somebody else. As was he. Doh.

And my all-purpose questions make their appearance here, too. I'm so uncreative.

1. What's the absolute worst fanfic you ever read?
2. What is your guilty pleasure?
3. What small thing irritates you beyond all reason?
4. What is the sexiest thing you can think of right now?

1. The 'tiny dancing link' from [livejournal.com profile] kalio_plaid - which, unfortunately, appears to have disappeared from ff.n. It was an L&O fic featuring Jack McCoy as a teenager, asking a Mary Sue out on a date. "Cuz I like you, girl," and "So you wanna be girlfriend? Sure!" is just about all I can remember; I believe I must have Obliviated myself in self-defence.
2. Um... eating Nutella, peanut butter, or dulce de leche with a spoon.
3. People reading over my shoulder. Especially if they don't tell me they're there.
4. Arg. Um... elfslashfic? Lame, but I'm in a non-sex headspace so that's really all that comes to mind.

Oh, man. That sounds like one of those fics you just stare at in dumb horror until you start laughing like crazy.

And I eat all of those substances with spoons. :) Not sure how else you're supposed to eat dulce de leche.

Can we be guilty together ?

God you've just made me so completely hungry.

By the way I'm pretty sure know how my grandmother would want you to eat dolce de leche and it's not with a spoon, especially not with a spoon while one holds the jar in one's hand preparing to get another spoonful as my spouse will do with the peanut butter or nutella.

Well, no, my grandmother would've insisted on it being dished out into a bowl and then you could ply your spoon. Not real approving of one grandchild out of nine hogging a whole jar, or getting her spit in everybody else's share for some odd reason.

My mom always used it as a spread, and looked at me askance when I just spooned it out of the can. Especially when I spooned all of it out of the can. The previously full can.

It comes in a can? I've only ever had it homemade, or, like as dulce de leche flavored ice cream kinda thing.

My mom always made it by boiling cans of sweetened condensed milk for about 4 hours (although it may only have seemed like 4 hours to me because I was little). I don't know how to make it any other way.

Ah. My grandmother makes it from regular milk, with limes and cinnamon sticks and sugar. The milk should be a couple of days old, and then the limes and lime juice curdles the milk and separates the milk solids into curds. You mix in the sugar and cinnamon sticks, then boil it until the water is evaporated.

1) If you were a character from any of your favorite fandoms who would you want to be?

2) If a genie gave you 3 wishes to use for your sons what would you wish for them?

3) When do you and Chris ever find time for a sex life?

4) What are the perfect ingredients for an L & O fan fiction for you.

1. Why do you identify with Rey Curtis?

2. Chris has gone through a severe midlife crisis. His hair, beard, and piercings are gone...and he has just announced that he's joining the Conservative Party. What do you do?

3. If you had the power to cancel any show on television, which one would it be, and why?

4. Bayshore or Rideau Center?

From: [identity profile] ciroccoj.livejournal.com
1. Hm... I don't think I'd say I identify with him, exactly, since he's very, very different from me (I hope). It's more like I'm curious about him. Curious to figure out his motivations and inner feelings, figure out what makes him tick. Probably because he is so different from me; religious, conservative, outwardly self-confident, rather tactless, judgmental, and somewhat humourless (at least, I hope I'm not any of those last three). Opposites attract, I guess ;)
2. LMAO. Seriously. Although the Conservative thing just might prompt me to ditch him, if it's accompanied by any other weird shit like suddenly deciding immigrants should all be deported and we need to spend more on corporate tax breaks and less on schools.
3. Only one? Damn. Probably all of the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous type things. I just find it rather nauseating to see people rhapsodizing about spending $3000 on a pair of shoes.
4. Depends. If by myself, Rideau Centre. With the kids, Bayshore.

OK, for some reason lj won't let me reply to [livejournal.com profile] animaltalker's comment. Everyone else's, fine, but not hers. Yesterday it did the same to [livejournal.com profile] jessebee's.

1) If you were a character from any of your favorite fandoms who would you want to be?
I think Hermione Granger from Harry Potter. Or possibly Anita Van Buren. Because they're strong, and they don't get much glory, but they get the job done. Often while other people are sort of milling aimlessly about them.

And Anita's great at sudden demonstrations of "I'm the boss here". She's not full of herself or her authority, and she lets people have a lot of leeway, but then when it's time to rein them in, look out.

2) If a genie gave you 3 wishes to use for your sons what would you wish for them?
1 - happiness
2 - love
3 - long life

3) When do you and Chris ever find time for a sex life?
Who says we do?

Actually, we're blessed with kids who go to bed reasonably early (9-10 or so), so the time after that is ours, and has been for many years. I have no idea how parents with late sleepers do it.

4) What are the perfect ingredients for an L & O fan fiction for you.
Realistic portrayal of the characters, good dialogue, humour, and at least one of the following: Jack, Lennie, Rey, Anita, Abbie, Ed, Adam, Mike, Munch.
