Excerpt: OTTAWA (AFP) - The race to succeed former prime minister Paul Martin as head of Canada's once mighty Liberal Party, now in opposition, has exposed a trend in Canadian politics with candidates appearing in the buff to woo voters.
... OK, you know what? This is NOT a good development in Canadian politics, people. I'm all for celebrating our bodies and personally have about as much body modesty as a cat, but I gotta say, though I do admire Bob Rae, his is not a bare posterior I wish to be visually confronted with. Don't know the other gentleman in the article; don't wish to see his weenie either.
All I can say is thank god this latest trend began after Jean Chretien and Paul Martin left high office. And please god, not that America ever follows our lead, but if anybody below the 49th parallel is watching us right now? No no no. Maybe try health care, or gun control, or gay marriage, or legalizing pot, if for some bizarre reason you wish to go Canuck. Please for to leave political bums decently covered.
