82. Have you ever gotten a speeding ticket?
Oddly, no. The one time I ever started to get a speeding ticket, the cop realized (much to my horror, as I hadn't realized it myself) that I was driving with an expired licence. As in, six months gone. He forgave me the 10km over the speed limit and instead took my licence away and I had to walk home in the rain and face a $300 fine. Four months pregnant and working as a prison teacher while supporting my medical student partner and paying for our two-year-old's day care made this a daunting prospect.

I eventually paid $30 and got my new licence. This involved a bit of crying. Went around with a hideous photo ID for the next five years, reflecting the mood of the day: gaunt and nauseated from the pregnancy, worried and weepy from the fine, and wet from the rain. A real thing of beauty, it was.

OOooh. Black sheets? I don't think I've ever seen sheets in black.

It's truly scary how many of your answers I'm leaving exactly the same, as I fill this out for myself.

Your speeding ticket and out-of-gas stories totally trump mine, though. I'm really amazed you survived them both, and yet, if anyone would, it's you! :-)

Off to fill this out for myself.
