Life throws a curve ball

• Sat down to watch Goblet of Fire around 6:30. Thought we'd finish it tonight, since tomorrow we're seeing Order of the Phoenix.
  
  
• Justin cut his hand on a broken glass around 7:45-8ish.
  
  
• Went to CHEO.
  
  
• Just came back (12:20am).
  
  
• Got eight stitches. Chris says he was very brave during the stitches. My poor little guy. ::sniff::

Oh ouch! Brave kid, I've been through a lot of medical shit and I'd say that stitches are the worst - I had my palm stitched shut after slicing it open. *grimace*

hope all is well... any kind of medical thing with your kids is hard. is he healing up well or is it bothering him?

He's doing OK. Went to TaeKwon Do yesterday and had no trouble with any of it, though I don't think he punched with the taped-up hand. And now that most of the pain is gone, he seems to find the whole thing pretty cool :)

Oh my goodness! Poor Justin! Where on his hand is the cut? Palm or back of the hand? fingers? I can't imagine what that must be like as a parent. What a brave boy.

I still have memories of spending Valentines Day in Kingston at the emerg getting my hand stitched. Hey, you can tell Justin he and I can compare hand scars now. :)

LOL yeah, he thinks it's all pretty cool now. Can't wait to get his stitches taken out so he can show people his scar ;)
