So, the latest polls apparently have us at:

PC (Progressive Conservatives): 27-34
NDP (New Democrats): 14-19
GRN (Green): 6-11

There's a lot of other parties, but they aren't garnering enough votes to count right now. And OMG I nearly died laughing when I went to look at the other official parties that are running. Some are clearly meant in fun, some are jokes despite themselves. I'm surprised the Marijuana Party doesn't have candidates this time; I think they have every other time I've voted here. Hm. Maybe they're only federal. And the United Farmers of Ontario may be serious, but they picked a lousy set of letters ;)

the Monty Python sketch with the "Silly Party" and the "Extremely Silly Party" which I thought was just a gag until I found out there really was a "Raving Looney" Party or something close to that name in 70s England.

And I know what you mean about the auto calling to get me to vote. Whenever I got a live person or a number to call back, I called back and told them to spend money on someone who WASN'T voting.

Yeah, seriously. I think the one that pissed me off the most was the Conservative candidate's wife's voice message. "Hi there, I'm calling on behalf of my husband [Candidate X]. I'm just so proud of my [Affectionate Nickname For X] for standing up for the rights of families in our province blah blah blah..."

Don't know why that one irked me so much, but it really did. I contemplated real violence there for a minute.
