E-world shrinking

OK, after 24 hours, this "connection down" thing is beginning to get on my nerves. I'm hardly ever online for more than 3-5 minutes at a time, but I do drop in about once an hour to check my e-mail, glance at boards/livejournal/Facebook, respond to a couple of things, whatever. It's like reassurance that the rest of the world outside my home & kids exists.
With this disconnect thing going on, half the time I try to log in, I can't. It takes me about five minutes or so just to reboot, which isn't even worth it most of the time as I don't have more than 3-5 minutes to do much more than just check in, so by the time I'm in, it's time to go anyway.
Bell Canada, if this is your fault... fix it? Please? I'm starting to feel like Dr. Crusher in that Star Trek episode where her universe keeps getting smaller and smaller and smaller.
...and if you know of which episode I speak, you're almost as big a nerd as me ;)

Much empathy on the connection issues. Time to call Bell Canada? I know when I call AT&T, it's usually an exercise in two days of "Not our fault. Can't detect any problem. Nope, there's no... oh wait. Yeah, our bad! Okay, sorry 'bout that. We were supposed to shut down your neighbor's internetz."

Ooh, I'd forgotten that part. Intensely creepy. ::shiver::

LOL yeah, same here. Or somebody answers the phone in a harried voice and rattles off "Thank you for calling Bell Canada we are experiencing difficulty with our internet service provider our technicians are currently working on the problem service should be restored soon merci d'avoir appeller Bell Canada" ::pause for breath:: "May I help you?"
Guilty as charged
